YDF19 is almost here!

The biggest event of the Peshkar year is just around the corner and we have some amazing things to share at this years festival.

We can’t quite believe this is the fourth year of the festival and this year is going to be the biggest ever!

Here’s a little taster of what we have in store:

Sample the UK premiere of the Alternarration Collective’s artworks created in response to the Digital Stories brief.

See some fantastic artwork created by local games design students at Oldham College

Take part in workshops in VJ-ing, Glitch Art, Photography, Coding and create a digital treasure hunt with artists from Peshkar, University Campus Oldham and Mako Create

Achieve a Discover Arts Award in a day with our special Ministry of Disinformation Arts Award passport

The festival runs from 11am-4pm at Oldham Library on Saturday 30th March. All Peshkar workshops are drop in, so just turn up and see what we have on offer.

We are eternally grateful to our wonderful partners in the Young Digitals Festival, Oldham Libraries who are also sharing some exciting workshops for younger children on the festival day.

A huge thanks also goes to Oldham College, University Campus Oldham, Waterhead Academy, Mako Create and all our amazing artists.

Originally formed in 1991 as a community theatre project for Oldham’s Asian community, Peshkar has evolved into the UK’s leading participatory arts organisation targeting young people who are deemed hard to reach or socially disadvantaged.
